Floribertus Rahardi, lahir di Ambarawa, Jawa Tengah, 10 Juni 1950. Penyair, wartawan, penulis artikel, kolom, kritik sastra, cerita pendek, dan novel. Pendidikan drop out kelas II SMA 1967, dan lulus ujian persamaan SPG 1969. Pernah menjadi guru SD, dan kepala sekolah di Kabupaten Kendal, Jawa Tengah. Tahun 1974 ke Jakarta, dan alih profesi menjadi wartawan, editor serta penulis artikel/kolom di berbagai media.

Pertama kali menulis puisi akhir tahun 1960an, dimuat di Majalah Semangat, dan Basis (Yogya), serta Horison (Jakarta). Baru kemudian menulis artikel, kritik sastra, cerpen, dan novel.

Karya-karyanya antara lain: Kumpulan puisi Soempah WTS (1983), Catatan Harian Sang Koruptor (1985), Silsilah Garong (1990), Tuyul (1990) dan Pidato Akhir Tahun Seorang Germo (1997). Kumpulan cerpen Kentrung Itelile (1993). Kumpulan artikel Petani Berdasi (1994). Kumpulan renungan Menggugat Tuhan (2000). Prosa lirik Migrasi Para Kampret (1993), dan Negeri Badak (2007). Buku teknis pertanian Cerdas Beragrobisnis (2003), Agar Tanaman Cepat Berbuah (2007), dan Bercocok Tanam dalam Pot (2009). Buku lainnya Panduan Lengkap Menulis Artikel, Feature dan Esai (2006), dan Menguak Rahasia Bisnis Gereja (2007). Novel Lembata (2008), Ritual Gunung Kemukus (2008), dan Para Calon Presiden (2009).

Tahun 1984, pernah dilarang oleh Dewan Kesenian Jakarta, ketika berniat membawa para Pekerja Seks Komersial (PSK), dalam acara pembacaan sajaknya Soempah WTS (1984) di TIM, Jakarta. Tahun 1986 kembali dilarang oleh Polda Metro Jaya, ketika akan membacakan Catatan Harian Sang Koruptor, juga di TIM, Jakarta. Tanggal 30 Desember 1997. meluncurkan kumpulan puisinya, Pidato Akhir Tahun Seorang Germo, di rumah Soeharto, salah seorang mucikari di komplek lokalisasi PSK di Silir, Surakarta, Jawa Tengah. Tahun 1995, kumpulan puisi Tuyul, mendapat penghargaan Hadiah Sastra Pusat Bahasa.

Pengurus beberapa organisasi kemasyarakatan, antara lain Perhimpunan Anggrek Indonesia (PAI), Forum Kerjasama Agribisnis (FKA), Ikatan Sarjana Katolik Indonesia (ISKA), dan Asosiasi Experiential Learning Indonesia (AELI). Pernah menjadi Wakil Pemimpin Umum/Pemimpin Redaksi/Penangungjawab Majalah Trubus.

Sekarang menjadi Redaktur Tamu di Majalah Flona, Majalah Hidup, Penerbit Obor, dan kolumnis tetap di Kontan, serta Business News. ***

Floribertus Rahardi, was born in Ambarawa, Central Java, Indonesia, in June 10th 1950. He’s a poet and a journalist. He also writes articles, coloumn, critiques on literature, short stories and novels. He dropped out of highschool in grade 11, but passed a special examination to become a teacher in 1969. After that he became an elementary teacher and a head master in a school in Kendal Regency, Central Java. In 1974 he went to Jakarta and changed his profession into a journalist, an editor and wrote articles and coloumns in various media.

He first wrote poetry at the end of 1960’s and was published in Semangat Magazine, Basis Magazine (Jogjakarta), and Horison magazine (Jakarta). He then wrote articles, critiques on literature, short stories, and novels.

His works among others are: poetry anthology Soempah WTS (The Prostitutes Pledge) (1983), Catatan Harian Sang Koruptor (The Diary of a Corruptor, 1985), Silsilah Garong (Tree Family Tree of a Robber, 1990), Tuyul (The Small Bald Ghost, 1990) and Pidato Akhir Tahun Seorang Germo (New Years Eve Speech of a Pimp, 1997). Short stories anthology Kentrung Itelile (1993). Article anthology Petani Berdasi (The Farmer who Wears A Tie, 1994). Anthology of reflections Menggugat Tuhan (Blaspheming God, 2000). Lyrical prose Migrasi Para Kampret (The Migration of Bats, 1993), and Negeri Badak (The Rhinoceros Country, 2007). Agriculture technical books Cerdas Beragrobisnis (Smart Agrobusiness, 2003), Agar Tanaman Cepat Berbuah (Tips for Accelerating Plants to Bear Fruits, 2007), and Bercocok Tanam dalam Pot (The Pot Plant, 2009). Other books Panduan Lengkap Menulis Artikel, Feature dan Esai (The Complete Guide to Write Articles, Features, and Essay, 2006), and Menguak Rahasia Bisnis Gereja (Uncovering The Secret of Church Business, 2007). Novels Lembata (2008), Ritual Gunung Kemukus (The Ritual of Kemukus Hill, 2008), and Para Calon Presiden (The Presidency Candidates, 2009).

In 1984 he was banned by the Jakarta Board of Arts when he intended to bring prostitutes in his poetry reading event from his book Soempah WTS (1984) in Taman Ismail Marzuki Jakarta. In 1986 he was banned by the police when he wanted to read his poems from the book Catatan Harian Sang Koruptor, also at TIM, Jakarta. In December 30, 1997 he launched his book titled Pidato Akhir Tahun Seorang Germo, at the home that belongs to Soeharto, one of the pimp in a red district called Silir, Surakarta, Central Java. In 1995 his poetry anthology titled Tuyul received an award Hadiah Sastra Pusat Bahasa.

He currently involved in several public organization, among them are Indonesian Orchids Society (PAI), The Agribusiness Working Forum (FKA), The Indonesian Catholic Graduates and Intellectuals Affairs (ISKA), and Indonesian Experiential Learning Asociation (AELI). He was a Vice Director/Editor in Chief/Board of Advisor in Majalah Trubus.

Currently he’s acted as a Guest Editor Flona Magazine, Hidup Magazine, Obor Publisher, and a coloumnist at Kontan Tabloid and Business News Bulletin. ***
